On offer is a Genuine Birmingham Assayed Sterling Silver Handled Letter Opener bearing the Hayes Pattern. The item has a steel blade with a mirror finish. Each Letter Opener is meticulously restored and silver finished to perfection.

The Silver Handle is hallmarked with the with the letter T for 1893 along with the Lion Passant, Anchor and the Makers mark which is C&N - the mark for the sought after Crisford & Norris. The item is in fantastic condition for its age as the photos reflect, hallmarks are slightly rubbed. The Paper Knife is 18.5 cm in length and weighs 25 grammes.
